Carl Stamitz
(1746 - 1801) a contemporary of Mozart and Haydn and the son of Johann
Stamitz a violinist and composer, worked at the Mannheim court
beforetravelling around Europe as a virtuoso violinist and composer. He
wrote 3 wonderful cello concertos - charming, wonderfully crafted works
full of beautiful tunes.
